Dumpster Delivery Day: A Simple Driveway Checklist

A few minutes of preparation can make dumpster delivery much easier. Confirm the placement location before the driver arrives and make sure the approach is open.

Clear the Route

Move cars, trailers, toys, trash cans and portable basketball hoops. Look up for tree limbs, wires or roof overhangs. If the driveway is narrow or the property has a gate, share that information when scheduling.

Protect the Work Area

Keep children and pets away from the delivery path. Mark any areas that should not be driven on, and do not place the dumpster where it blocks sight lines or access required by local rules. Once the container is set, keep debris within the fill limits and do not add restricted material unless it has been approved.
